RAGBABIES

Ragbabies began  in 1987 when creator, Sherri Roberts Lumpkin was in search of a special  angel for her mother's Christmas tree.
Her search  brought her back to her own studio where she created the perfect angel. 

An angel so unique, inquiries were made, orders taken. And what joy they brought their owners.  Each doll a one-of-a-kind creation. 

  RAGBABIES was born.

Ragbabies is dedicated to promoting positive images of African Americans.

By having children of all cultures make African American Ragbabies, using fabrics and objects from Africa and America, they will come to appreciate multiple cultures.




By playing with their Ragbaby, we hope to promote harmony and the understanding of differences.

Through this art, children may realize the beauty of what they've made can also be the beauty of America.
